This is Cotelier's principal work. First published in Paris in 1672, this was the first revised edition. Another followed in 1724. Since most of the 1672 edition was destroyed in a fire in Paris' College Montaigu, this is the earliest readily available edition. The apostolic fathers were those who had personal connections with the 12 original Apostles.
