A porcelain figure of a male little downy woodpecker, perched precariously from a pecan branch, modeled by Dorothy Doughty (1892-1962) for her American Birds series, and produced by Royal Worcester, species, artist signature, and factory marks on underside of base. With original wooden box; ht. 10.5 in.
