This is an early oil painting by Massachusetts painter Bruce Wood. It is signed B. Wood on the front and signed and titled Lanesville on the back. The number 7377 on the back denotes that the painting was made on July 3, 1977.; This painting is on stretched canvas 10"x14" and is in its original frame which measures 12"x16"; The painting is in good condition and the frame shows a bit of wear.; Bruce Wood received formal art training at Massachusetts College of Art (BFA), and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (MFA).; He is founder of the fine art printmaking atelier AFA Press in Lakeside, Michigan, and the former Fenway Galleries in Chicago and Lakeside, Michigan.; Currently he is the oil painting conservator and director of the Woodshed Gallery in Franklin, Massachusetts, and an active member of the Lyme Art Association, Cape Cod Art Association, and several other New England art associations.; Bruce Wood's prints and paintings are in the collections of the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris, the University of Alabama, and the Rockford Art Museum in Illinois.
