Probably a Brass Prototype • Possibly by Kyser & Rex Company American - 1890’s - 8” Long Bill Werbell says that he bought this fascinating bank in the late 1960’s early one morning at Schupp’s Grove. He wrote to Bert Whiting about it and the response from Whiting was effusive and unremitting. Bill remembers that Whiting made him countless offers that never ended until the latter’s demise. Whiting speculated that it was designed at Kyser & Rex because, as he noted, the wheels are virtually identical to those they used on their other toys. Material: Cast Brass
