Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A trio of pretty glass unguentaria, one a tiny, amphora-shaped vessel with a flared rim, another a handled jug shape, also with a flared rim, and the third round-bodied with a rim that flares wider than the body. Unguentaria like these would have been used daily in the household and probably buried with their owners. Size of largest: 2" W x 2.15" H (5.1 cm x 5.5 cm)

Provenance: private Los Angeles, California, USA collection

The tiniest is missing part of its rim, and has been glued to a stand. The one with the flared rim has an extensive silvery iridescent patina and some encrustations. The one with the handle has a well done repair low on the body. It, too has an extensive patina, this one with rainbow iridescence.
