Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 2000 BCE. A charming diminutive bowl with steep sides and a delicate, disc-shaped foot. The exterior aside from the foot is painted brightly with red and black motifs of crosshatching within solid squares. The interior is largely buff, with a band of red immediately below the unpronounced rim. Size: 3.45" W x 2.5" H (8.8 cm x 6.4 cm)
