**First Time At Auction**

Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A lovely pair of ancient Roman glass vessels demonstrating the Romans' keen glass blowing skills. First a translucent green glass vial with a near-spherical body and long tubular neck resolving to an outfolded rim, on a lucite stand. Complementing this piece is a double balsarium comprised of olive green glass, the twin vials with thick trailed handles joining rims to body. Size: vial measures 3.5" H (8.9 cm); 4.25" H (10.8 cm) on included custom stand; double balsarium measures 2.25" W x 4.5" H (5.7 cm x 11.4 cm)
