Pre-Columbian, Central America, Costa Rica, ca. 600 to 1200 CE. A lovely and highly-burnished russet-slip terracotta vessel with a rounded base, wide and bulbous sides, smooth shoulders with four sections of black-hued details including abstract leafy motifs bordered by black striations, a narrow neck, a wide mouth, and a flared rim. Size: 7.5" W x 7.75" H (19 cm x 19.7 cm).
