**First Time At Auction**

Latin America, Mexico, Taxco, Los Castillo, ca. 1939 to 1962 CE. A lovely handwrought silver plated petite pitcher or creamer adorned with a sweet bird perched at the juncture between the curved handle and the rim. The bird's wings and body as well as the handle are inlaid with iridescent mother of pearl. One of the bird's eyes is inlaid with a black stone or glass bead. Stamped "HECHO A MANO IN MEXICO" (made by hand in Mexico), "LOS CASTILLO TAXCO", and "PLATEADO 209", on the base. Size: 4.125" W (handle to opposite side) x 5.375" H (10.5 cm x 13.7 cm)
