EARLY THUMBPRINT / ARGUS (OMN) TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, colorless lead glass, comprising a covered nappie and an open compote. Bakewell, Pears & Co. Third quarter 19th century. 5 1/4" HOA, 8 1/4" D rim nappie, 4 1/2" H, 6 1/2" DOA rim compote.
Nappie cover virtually undamaged with typical minor roughness to the rim, possibly as made, nappie base with scattered heavy chipping to the rim; compote in very good condition overall with a minute flake to the table ring, a moderate chip to one stem point, and three rim scallops with light post-production polishing.
