LEE/ROSE NO. 314 AND 315 CUP PLATES, LOT OF TWO, colorless, embossed "SAMPSON, LINDLEY &. CO. / IMPORTERS OF / CHINA, GLASS / & QUEENSWARE. / NO.92 MAIN ST. / CINCINNATI." and "E. A. &. S. R. FILLEY. / IMPORTERS. OF / CHINA. GLASS / &.QUEENS.WARE" above six stars, with "SAINT.LOUIS" below, each with 50 even scallops. Rare. Midwestern, possibly Pittsburgh. 1840-1860. 3 7/16" D.
First lacking one scallop and two others lightly tipped, second proof except for one very lightly tipped scallop, mold roughness to a slight under-rim fin, as made.
