LEE/ROSE NO. 699 CUP PLATE, colorless, 27 even scallops with single point between, very thick pressing. Rare. Unknown origin. 1830-1850. 3 1/4" D.
Near proof with only the loss of two small points and several minute top-rim spalls. Open bubble causing a minor loss to one scallop, as made.
Literature: Lee/Rose - American Glass Cup Plates, p. 377. Like Bourne - The William J. Elsholz collection, Vol. III, p. 495, lots 1842, 1843.
