Roman Empire, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A brilliant translucent blue glass vase with a concave bottom, a rolled base to rest upon, short side walls with eight dissimilar indentations, corseted shoulders which taper to a rolled and narrow neck that widens to a funneled mouth, slightly thickened rim, and two applied undulating trail handles. While the body is an aquatic shade of blue, the handles are a deep sapphire-colored hue. Size: 3.375" handlespan x 2.375" H (8.6 cm x 5.3 cm x 6 cm)
