Two Antique Engravings by Cornillier and Hornby, 1897 and 1918. Antique French Sanguine Engraving of L'Esperance or Hope dated 1897 by Pierre-Emile Cornillier. Measures 15.5 x 12 inches framed. And, Antique WWI Print of a scene from Vaux at the Marne signed L.G. Hornby (Lester George Hornby b. Mass, 1882 - 1956) and dated 1918. This WWI scene is notated near the signature as coming "with the greatest of emotion from the artist." From the estate of Rockport artist Grace Huntley Pugh, whose own work is also in this sale. Pugh was a founder of the Rockport Art Association and a member of the American Watercolor Society.
