Manufactured in New York City 1863-65. Features six shot, round cylinder, oval notches, walnut grips, blued finish, and case colored hammer and lever. This is a U.S. Government issue with numerous government inspector marks about the gun. Letter "D" on barrel, recoil shield, top strap; "T" on cylinder and barrel. Matching serial number on cylinder and frame. Strong cartouche on right grip panel. Inspector is Samuel T. Bugbee. Traces of case colors on lever and hammer. Balance of weapon is smooth grey patina. Original nipples. Excellent walnut stocks. Indexes and locks up perfectly. Fine, clean bore with very minor abrasion.
