CHARLES DE TEMPLE - a 1960s 18ct gold diamond and emerald brooch and associated earrings. The brooch designed as a series of overlapping, openwork and partially textured panels, with emerald cabochon and brilliant-cut diamond scattered highlights, together with earrings of a similar design. Brooch may be worn as a pendant. Brooch only with maker's marks for Charles de Temple and hallmarks for London, 1964. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Length of brooch 8cms. Total weight 47.8gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and general slight discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • The earrings with replacement hook fittings, repairs/alterations visible to the reverse.
  • Earrings with crown and 18 stamps, worn, possible further marks obscured.
  • Length of earrings 1.8cms.
  • Diamonds bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Small, scattered inclusions.
  • Emeralds are a well matched medium deep slightly bluish green hue. Typical, surface reaching inclusions.
