139 Pieces of Dominick & Haff "Blossom" Sterling Silver Flatware

the pattern designed in 1905 by Gilbert Lafayette Crowell, Jr. (1868-1932), New York, New York, including a dozen eight-piece place settings (seven pieces lacking) with an additional forty-seven lesser place pieces (ice cream spoons, egg spoons, chocolate spoons, etc.) and three serving pieces, no monograms (except for one piece).
118.64 total t. oz. (weighable silver)

In overall good condition with signs of age and use. An assembled set, many pieces marked with different retailers. Ten luncheon forks, three butter spreaders and one gumbo spoon have had monograms buffed out. Wear to the gilt elements, particularly the underside of the ice cream spoons; two salad forks appear to never have had gilded tines like the others. Wear to the silvering and some nicks along the plated steel blades of the place knives, with some light blistering on two or three of the luncheon knives. A large set of a rare pattern.
