    Moll's fascinating map of the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico encompasses the present-day southern United States, Mexico, Central America, northern South America, and the Greater and Lesser Antilles. Arrows indicate the direction of the trade winds and dotted lines, the route of Spanish treasure galleons from the ports of Vera Cruz, Havana, and Cartagena to Spain.
