Italian Cassone, walnut, molded lift lid with hammered iron hinges, front with a deep relief carved cartouche of a reclining maiden with dog, flanking on chest ends are some nude male figures, rope and acanthus carved apron, double scroll front feet, wrought iron side bale handles, original crab lock, 21" x 61 1/2" x 25". CONDITION: As found, wood splits, some gouges, worm holes primarily in rear board, no key, metal interior corner braces, replaced hinge screws.
