A pair of signed modernist free-flowing abstract ink drawings by Katherine Nash that were sketched when she was experimenting with her sculptures. The back of one has another drawing on it, but Nash must have been unhappy with it, as she scribbled over it. 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" each. Katherine Nash (1910–1982) was an American artist and sculptor; her avant-garde styles were Kinetic, Surrealism and Abstraction. She has an art gallery named after her in Minneapolis which exhibits prints that are exemplars of a myriad of techniques -- etching, intaglio, aquatint, screen print, chine collé, and more. Nash's steel sculptures are exhibited as well.
