Gorgeous 1977 Grateful Dead Barton Hall PosterArtist: Jay MabreyMedium: SilkscreenPrinting Date: 1990Publisher: ArtRockSize: 18 ¾" x 25 ½"
The 1977 Barton Hall show is considered by thousands of Dead Heads as the best concert ever performed by the band. Its importance has been confirmed by being added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress in 2012. 500 of these posters were produced for the show and they were mainly distributed to Cornell Concert Commission members and students, with a small number of posters going to ticket outlets. Original posters are quite rare. In fact, we just sold one in our September 2017 auction that brought over $10,000! The poster offered here is from the reprint done by ArtRock in the early 1990's - an edition of 1000 numbered pieces.
