Description
1932 Summer Olympics participation medal from the Los Angeles games. 69mm in diameter, weight 147 grams. The obverse depicts an athlete holding an unfurled banner from the Xth Olympiad. The reverse has two seated female figures supporting a United States shield. Mintage was only 4000. In all, 1,332 athletes participated, each of whom received a participation medal like the one featured in this lot. Condition is excellent. Suggested bid $400
