All of our works have been thoroughly vetted & Curated by not only our Company Experts (whom have Doctorates in their chosen fields) but also outside & independent Agencies: this thoroughly supplements & perfectly compliments our expanding knowledge base. All of this results in Coomber's Antiquites being able to completely Guarantee the Authenticity of all our merchandise, which is further cemented by our Certification.
To cover our fees with Live Auctioneers, an automatic charge of 10% (though we are actually charged 15%) will be made to every Sale. This is not a matter of profiteering & only done to maintain margins.
Our Service & Your Responsibilities:
Though every transaction is unique, we thought it would be a great idea to give the general procedures on how we operate. This is a brief outline on what happens are after a price has been agreed:
a) Payment is secured, either by Credit/Debit Card, Bank Wire, Bitcoin or Western Union (see Our Accepted payment Policy)
b) After payment has cleared the item/s are shipped fully tracked (insurance is optional) either from a Supplier or our warehouse.
c) Upon receipt of the item/s acknowledgement of the safe arrival is expected. Unless agreed beforehand, the Buyer then has 24hrs to examine the item for damage.
d) The Buyer then has 3 weeks from receipt, as a "cooling off" period to assess the purchased item. We would recommend that examinations take place on the Buyer's premise's. This will rule out any possibility of the item being, lost or damaged. The Buyer is wholly responsible for the items integrity during this period. We also recommend in increasing any Home insurance, during this period.
e) The Buyer can return the item during these 3 weeks, at their behest, for any reason. This is part of our refund process. If you decide to keep the item/s, then there is nothing further to do.
f) Once the item has been received and thoroughly checked, a refund will be made available ONLY to the payment method initially used.
g) We can't impress upon Buyer's enough, that the returned item must be properly insured before it's return (though this is optional, the Buyer assumes full legal liability). This would normally be conducted by a Third Party insurance Company. Also be aware, that many courier companies don't insure "items of Art" & as the term is so broad, we can't be held liable for Courier Company Underwriters refusing to honour their commitments on that basis. Our accepted payments:
This will vary depending on the value of the object purchase, the destination & payment method. These are our general rules:
a) Items under $5,000usd will normally be processed by Credit/Debit Card. This can involve the sending of Identifying documents, to secure us against Fraud. We appreciate your patience with this.
b) Items over $5,000usd will normally be processed by Bank Wire or cash-on-delivery (which will depend on where the item is to be received, your track record with us & references).
c) No items will be dispatched without full payment, unless previously arranged. So please don't ask.
d) Under certain circumstances, viewings can be arranged. But this depends upon Supplier's, Jurisdiction & Contractual concerns: for instance, if we are in possession of the item, either at our partners or warehouses then viewings can be easily arranged for you. Item/s will never leave are possession though.
