A mid 19th century rosewood travelling case, of rectangular form with mother of pearl cartouche and escutcheon, the hinged cover opening to reveal blue plush lined interior containing assorted glass containers with silver tops, each having engraved ornate foliate design with central vacant cartouche, hallmarked London 1857, TW possibly for Thomas Wallis, together with mother of pearl handled manicure tools, the front section lifting to reveal vacant compartment beneath, the right side with draw opening via spring mechanism (a/f), 6.5 x 9 x x 12 (16.5cm x 23cm x 30.5cm).

Condition

The exterior case with scratches, cracking, splits and losses, spring mechanised drawer at fault, back board to interior loose. Silver with scratches and some tarnishing. Interior lining with some wear and discolouration. Glass with scratches, small indentations and small losses.
