A base metal figure group of a cossack and horse. Herbert Meinhardt, circa 1900, in the manner of Lanceray, the figure modelled holding a spear, wearing a fur hat, bandolier, tunic, knee-length breeches and boots, the saddled horse with rug and a rifle on its back, on a naturalistic base, signed to the base, stamped beneath 3920 KF (Kasli / Ksli Foundry), 7.25 long, 6.5 high, (18.5cm x 16.5cm)

Condition

Appears to be silver-plated pewter. Figure is loose on base. Spear shaft bent. General wear to patina, rubbing to highpoints. Wire reins loose.
