VERY RARE 1915 C.F. MARTIN 1-21 GUITAR

Lot 0130 Details

Description
Very Rare 1915 C.F. Martin 1-21 Guitar cedar top with mahogany back & sides. Martin has verified there were only 10 of these 1915 1-21 guitars made. Serial # 12070 with a cedar top and mahogany back and side. Neck is mahogany back with ebony fingerboard. Bridge is rosewood. Original pegs. original Martin stamp, back of neck. In 2016 light restoration was done by authorized Martin luthier Paul Nieto of Guitar Tech in NYC. Minor cracks were repaired. Entire guitar was re-glued and humidified - neck was straightened. Loose frets were reseated. A non-original pickguard was removed and the paint underneath repaired. Guitar Tech put on D'Addario EJ40 Folk silk and steel strings. It has been tuned down to keep stress off the bridge, but is totally playable and sounds great. A capo on 3rd fret will bring it to normal tuning. Brand new case. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate. ***Pickup only or Shipping on furniture offered through the On the Go Transport 843-360-7472, Outward Bound 413-854-3676, The UPS store 843-202-0141 or locally AJ Williams & Sons 843-442-0462.
