An Egyptian faience ushabti with black glaze, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, depicted mummiform and standing on integral base, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, vertical plinth down back. Glaze now a glossy black, perhaps from fire in the tomb. H: 4 1/2 in (11.4cm). Ex collection of Prof. Alan Pasch, Maryland.
