Lot 0305
A pair of Ecuadorean rollers, c. 300 BC - AD 400, the first a ceramic example which is cylindrical in shape with large lengthwise hole, the outside with beautiful geometric device. 3 1/8 in x 2 1/8 in (7.9 x 5.3 cm). The second is an ovoid roller carved from steatite, also with attractive geometric devices around the outside and holed lengthwise for suspension. L: 1 5/8 in (4.1 cm). Both are well preserved with light deposits. Ex Oxford, UK private collection.
