Grouping of documents related to the career of Admiral Henry Lancelot Mawbey (1870-1933), British naval officer serving in World War I and other stations. Grouping includes; 1.) Document appointing Mawbey as Commander of the Royal Victorian Order dated March 16, 1922 measuring 13" x 8" (2pp) and autographed by King George V (1865-1936). 2.) Letter on Buckingham Palace letterhead dated July 25, 1922 re; particulars about statutes of the Royal Victorian Order. Letter measures 13.25" x 8.25" and is signed by the Registrar of the RVO, Francis Morgan Bryant (1859 - 1938). 3.) Document appointing Mawbey as Companion (Civil Division) of the Order of the Bath dated June 5, 1920 measuring 13" x 8" (2pp) and facsimile signed by King George V.
