The enameled shield has the rose for the English heritage of the population, the clover for the Irish heritage, the thistle for the Scots and the beaver for the French that originally settled the territory and traded in furs. The handle of the spoon is a pillar with a vine in the center, a fleur-de-lis joins the handle to the bowl. The bowl has a ruffled edge, "Montreal" is written across the bowl in raised letters. The petite spoon measures 2&5/8", the bowl has a diameter of 5/8". Marked sterling on the back with an illegible hallmark, total weight is 4.5 grams. Excellent condition, no damage and minimal wear.
