"Electric chair"by Sunday B.Morning, publisher.Numbered 82/250. 39" x 51", frame: 40"x 52".Andy Warhol originally gave negative prints to a group called Sunday B Morning to extend the run of some of his most famous silkscreens, including Marilyn and Butterfiles, but later changed his mind.Sunday B Morning produced the prints anyway, which became Warhol collectibles, and Warhol often signed the back of the prints, with the words:"This is not by me, Andy Warhol".This added to their novelty and notoriety. He originally was going to sue, but was advised not to, since he had first agreed that the two principals of Sunday B Morning could produce the prints.Circa 1980.Minor scratches.Framed in plexiglas on both sides.
