A Roman terracotta vessel fragment depicting remnants of a battle scene, 1st – 2nd Century AD, two figures with circular shields and arms raised clearly visible, a lovely composite symbol above. H: 4 2/3 in (11.9cm). Ex collection of William Major Tedder.
