A Near Eastern spouted askos, c. 1000 – 600 BC, in creme buff, with the head of a goose opposite the flared spout with a small pouring hole at top, looped handle between and the vessel sits on a narrow-flared foot. The goose head is quite cute and with a bit of personality!!! 4 ¾ in x 4 1/8 in (12.1 x 10.5 cm). An attractive ritual vessel with light surface deposits. Ex Oxford, UK private collection.
