Antique Vienna Alt Deutsch Regulator Wall Clock
Item Details
Description
Beautiful antique Alt Deutsch Vienna striking regulator wall clock. The hallmark of the Alt Deutsch clocks is their use of Corinthian Columns on the doors. Typically these are full columns with fluting, though the Austrians, and the German factory of Lenzkirch used some broken columns with hanging finials. While the dial bezels were typically spun brass, the dials were porcelain or brass. Dial centers were often engraved or embossed--often with matching weights and pendulums. These clocks typically have very elaborate hands. Has been restored back to working condition. Approx. 64" high x 22" wide
Condition
Restored back to working condition 2 years ago. There is an age crack in the bottom portion that shows age. Minor spots in wood due to age
