This is the First American Edition, by Knopf, 1997, of Albert Camus, A Life (434 numbered pages), as translated into English by Benjamin Ivry from the original French by Olivier Todd. This is a near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket. The dust jacket has edge curl at the ends of the spine and near the flaps. It has no deep tears. It has light scuffs but no notable stains. The photo and text are unfaded. The price is not clipped. The only flaws to the book are slight curl to the ends of the spine, which is straight, and on which the gold lettering is unfaded and clean, as is the entire cover and inside. There are no stains or scuffs, no tears or creases to any pages. There are no stamps or other attachments. There is no writing. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. All text, and the various photo-reproductions, are in fine condition. The accompanying photos are accurate reflections of the book conditions.
