A late Victorian 15ct gold sapphire and diamond brooch. The alternating circular-shape sapphire and rose-cut diamond line, set atop a bead and rope-twist marquise-shape panel. Hallmarks for Chester, 1896. Length 4.8cms. Weight 3.1gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • All stones in fairly good condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • Stamped 15ct.
