Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A stunning example of Roman glass, the vessel body of a rounded form rising to a short cylindrical neck and a flared funnel rim, the base with a dimpled bottom. The glass itself is a beautiful translucent blue-green with a dark green/slate blue zigzag trail around the lower section that has developed a fabulous silvery iridescence. Size: 2.875" in diameter x 3.25" H (7.3 cm x 8.3 cm)
