To the unaided eye, this piece appears to be in good condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals some inconsistencies in the varnish, primarily along the right edge of the piece. There are also miniscule pieces of wood embedded in the painting along the lower right edge which are likely a result of the piece having been framed before the paint had fully dried. Along the center of the lower edge of the piece there is a gouge in the panel which appears to have been present prior to paint appplication. The piece is framed in a gray and white painted semi-rustic wooden frame. The frame is in fair condition with abrasions throughout, a notable 1 inch long chip along the lower left edge and separation in all four corners.
