Lot 0031
Chinese Qing Dynasty Ge ware porcelain Zun vase.
Sturdily potted in a baluster body, with globular belly tapered gracefully toward the round shoulder leading to the waisted prominent neck supported the flaring rim, and raised upon splayed concave foot base. Two deer masks emerged on the collar suspending a ring. Covered overall with a soft creme-grayish glaze suffused with a fine crackle ending at the bottom of the foot rim to expose the dark-grey ware burnt orange at the edges. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.
The design is luxurious, yet simple elegant.

Mark on base, a six underglaze blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.
