18th Century Chinese Qing Dynasty gilt silver covered censer. Cast in a traditional rectangular shaped Chinese censer, Fang Ding. A rectangular vessels, with wider opening, raised on four tall cabriole legs, in a scrolling clouds motif. Surmounted by a pair of bail handles rising from the banded rim. The main exterior decorated in deep relief of archaic geometrical pattern simulating the taotie masks of the seeing eyes. The domed cover with perforate dragon motif beneath a Fu Dog finial. Extensive trace of gilt.

Mark on base, incised six script -KaiShu- characters enclosed within double square frame borders, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing.

EXCELLENT condition, with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, considering ages and wears.
