19th/20th Century Qing Dynasty Chinese silk Kesi panel slit tapestry. Finely decorated with fine threads showing a crane perched on a pne tree against pale-blue clouds, all reserved on creme-brown silk ground. The tapestry has a smooth surface and appears exactly the mirrored images as on the front and back. Matted in red border, set behind glass, wooden framed. Crane and pine tree expresses the desire that everything under heaven and throughout the earth remain evergreen, and is a wish for longevity.

Excellent condition, with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface. Normal, considering ages and wears.
