18/19th Century Antique Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty HuangHuaLi Southern Official's Hat Armchairs.
Each beautifully proportioned with narrow crest rail supported on slender, gracefully tapered and curved rear posts. S-shaped splat, above the wicker cane mat seat set within the beaded frame with rounded edges, the elegantly curved, slender arm rails supported on vertical posts and terminating in widely out swept front rails. All above scalloped aprons and spandrels, the whole supported on legs of rounded-square section joined by stepped stretchers and the footrest above a plain apron. The wood displays attractive golden reddish-brown tone, with translucent shimmering surface with abstractly figured patterns appearing like ghost faces and fine grains appearing like wheat pattern motif.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. Some stress of wear. Natural wood imperfection, wood joint mark, minor scratches and dents. Normal consider ages and wears.
