Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Timor, ca. early 20th century CE. A tall standing ancestor figure from Timor, Indonesia, carved from a single piece of light-brown hardwood. A thick neck supports a large head with a gaping mouth and exposed tongue, recessed circular eyes, a bulbous nose, slight flared ears, a ridged brow line, and a domed forehead. Dark-brown patina covers most surfaces of this impressive example! Comes with custom display stand. Size: 15.125" H (38.4 cm); 16.125" H (41 cm) on included custom stand.
