Lot 0153
6 1/2" Long max x 2 3/8" Wide
Antique reproduction open frame mechanical rack and pinion corkscrew. The frame is likely cast brass or zinc due to the fact a magnet does not stick to it. The worm is steel.
This is a very easy to use, well designed corkscrew. It works by simply turning the wooden handle and shaft all the way down so the worm is at its longest.
Next by rotating the side handle it pulls the shaft upward raising the cork from the bottle using the frame for leverage on the rim of the bottle. One of the easiest to use!

Please note that this lot has a confidential reserve. When you leave a bid in advance of the auction, submit your maximum. The bidder who has submitted the highest bid wins the lot, provided the bid exceeds the reserve price.
