ENGLISH CUT OVERLAY MINIATURE LAMP, cranberry cut to amber, ball-form font with finely detailed cross-hatching pattern under multi-rayed sunburst and swag, scalloped foot, underside with rayed cuttings; near-matching patterned conical-form shade, diagonal bands of eight-point stars alternating with rows of rosettes, scallop top rim. Fitted with a period burner, colorless chimney. Late 19th/early 20th century. 8 3/4" H to top of shade, 4 1/2" H to top of collar, 2 7/8" D foot.
Base undamaged, shade with a moderate chip to the top rim, several scallops being tipped. Chimney with a flake to the top rim and typical minor roughness to the rims, likely as made.
