Lot 0202
HEAVY FREE-BLOWN AND CUT CANDLESTICK, colorless lead glass, deep panel-cut socket with wide-flanged mouth tooled to underside, and cut-facet knopped extension above a tooled-ring cushion and cut octagonal flange, raised on a flute-cut hollow pyriform standard and stepped circular foot with polished, slightly concave underside, wafer construction. American. 1820-1840. 9 1/2" H, 2 1/2" D mouth, 4" D foot.
Appearance is undamaged except for a flake to the medial flange, however the base has been reattached at the wafer below the standard, and a small sliver of the wafer is absent.

Provenance: Recently discovered in Pennsylvania.
