PRESSED HEART AND SHEAF NAPPIE ON FOOT / COMPOTE, colorless, shallow bowl with a rope to underside of scalloped rim, strawberry diamond band and stippled band surrounding a central ornament, raised on a bell-form standard having ten alternating flutes and ridges above a double-step base, lemon-squeezer pattern to interior, wafer construction. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. and possibly others. 1828-1835. 3 3/8" H, 6" D rim, 2 5/8" SQ foot.
Profile is proof, rim with only an interior spall and minor mold roughness, base with a minor flake under one corner. Very light 1 1/2" annealing crack to bottom of bowl that does not affect the resonance, possibly as made. Underfill to one side/corner of base, as made.
