NEW YORK, LATE 19TH CENTURY A fine bronze and marble figural table lamp of Atlas attributed to Edward F. Caldwell & Co. The lamp sits on a finely carved marble base with foliate and scrolled ornamentation rising into a figural bronze shaft of Atlas in traditional nude Greco-Roman form balancing an orb with terminating acanthus leaf shaft supporting a three socket light. The lamp is finished in a mottled green patination.


Lamp measures 27 1/2" tall to top of finial.

Condition

Minor wear to patination, minor fretting to edge of marble on corners, otherwise good condition.
