FRANCE, 18TH CENTURY Two French leather bound hollow book safes. One book is a 1749 edition of "Mercure de France" and the other is a 1783 edition of "Portraits des Rois de France". Both books have been hollowed out and lined with marbled paper.

From the property of a Coventry, Rhode Island Family.
Larger book is 7 1/2" by 5", smaller is 6 3/4" by 4"

Condition

Wear and partial separation to leather covers, wear to page edges, please refer to photographs.
