This is the first U. S. edition, published by Harcourt, Brace in 1923, the year following the first UK printing. The cover, orange cloth with a pasted on title/author label, is in good overall condition, with shallow bumps to the outside corners, surface scuffs but no prominent stains to the cloth, scuffs with spots of torn paper to the label, which is legible (see photo). The front end page has been removed, with its inside edge visible (see photo). There is pencil writing to that page, but nowhere else. There are no ink or other indelible notations. There are no stamps or other attachments. Several papers have torn outside edges, from those pages having been cut open poorly. Most pages have no such flaws. The body text pages (303) are clean throughout, with all lettering unfaded, and with no notable stains. There is an unnumbered six page editorial ad section following the novel. These pages are also clean, with four of them uncut. The accompanying photos are accurate reflections of the book conditions.Domestic: Flat-rate of $6.00 to anywhere within the contiguous U.S.International: Foreign shipping rates are determined by destination.Location: This item ships from Connecticut
